I was having the same problem in Windows 8. Thank you again, and thanks in advance to anyone who can help me through this problem!!! I was hoping someone could see something wrong with the IP configurations I've attached in the OP. I thoroughly read through the link you sent me, and I am fairly confident I understand the basics of the HostedNetwork. But, under Networking and Sharing Center, it shows that my Access Point (which I have named "SSID6") as having "No Network Access". I successfully did this 2 months ago, and it was working great!. Just to clarify and reiterate, my goal is to use my laptop as an Access Point using the HostedNetwork commands.

I have even tried disabling/re-enabling and uninstalling/re-installing both my Dell 1395 Adapter and the Microsoft Virtual Adapter. Please let me know if you require any additional information. In addition, it will allow us to enable or disable these network adapters easily and quickly, in case we want to leave the virtual machine that we are running without a network connection.
